- I can select a topic and identify and gather relevant information to share with my audience.
- I can present information clearly, concisely, and logically.
- I can present information in a sequence that allows the listener to follow my line of reasoning.
- I can prepare a presentation with organization, development, substance, and style that are appropriate to purpose, task, and audience.
- I can integrate appropriate digital media in a strategic manner to improve my presentation.
- The visual essay must include at least 8-12 slides.
- The visual essay must include a minimum of 10 pictures.
- The visual essay must not include more than 20 words in the entire presentation.
- The visual essay must represent the main points of your essay, but the main points must be shown visually.
- The visual essay can include still pictures (from Google images or Photobucket, or even your own camera).
- You must cite each image you use from the Internet. Somewhere on the slide, type “from: www....” and the rest of the web address.
- The visual essay should be between 1:30-2:00 in length.
- Since your goal is to persuade your audience towards your topic, you will need to use pictures, facts, statistics, and/or music to convey your information and argument.
Additional Notes:
- When adding the music, make sure it goes with the tone of your paper.
- Use the ideas and information you wrote about the original written essay. However, you might need to elaborate a bit in certain areas to meet the needs of the presentation. Remember, you are visually representing an essay that has already been written.
